We woke up at 5:30 AM tied to the unloading dock waiting for the 4 AM unloading to begin(the canneries lost much of their workforce due to a dispute over long hours). We got finished around 10:00 AM and then went to our slip in the harbor. We had a breakfast and waited for orders of when they would need the Kupreanof again. Not today it turned out. So, we eventually had a delicious dinner of elk stroganoff, with some great wine, and Jim and I shared some Old Pulteney single malt to cap off the day. It was kind of nice just spending time with Marcia and Jim, since the other crew members were not there.
looks good! Is it cold there? Your in long pants and a coat.
ReplyDeleteVery fun pictures...great to see Kitos and the Slough and your bridge. I liked how your described having "a" breakfast...as it was easy to imagine that perhaps a little later you had "another" breakfast...and then possibly elevensies! Once I signed in on my iPad it let me comment! Great idea :-)
